Breakfast was lovely, just right before a short walk to the beach. It was great to be able to leave the car and walk to the beach, it's right on the doorstep.
We would both love to return to Beaches, and I would heartily recommend it to anyone holidaying in Paignton.

  My partner and I arrived on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August, and stayed 4 nights. I wish it could have been longer. We had booked through... read more a third party, and were aware that check-in was from 4pm and that parking was available but places were limited. We never had a problem. On arrival we were greeted by Ged in a very friendly manner. My Christian name isn't the easiest to pronounce, and I said he could shorten it, as many do. However, Ged actually used my proper name every time, which was a nice touch. When I booked, I was under the impression it was on a room only basis. So it was a pleasant surprise to be offered breakfast. We were given a pre order sheet, and when I said I was a faddy eater, Ged said they would try to give me whatever I required, no problem. We were escorted up to Room 8. The room was beautifully furnished, very clean, with a stylish looking bed and quality bedding, which blended in with the decor. There was a tea tray with everything we needed, including cookies There was a wall mounted flat screen TV, a hair dryer, and also a fan, which was useful as it got quite warm. The bathroom was large, with storage, and hand/ body wash and shampoo provided, as well as good thick towels There were two toilet rolls, and they were replenished without us having to ask. We slept very well, and found that if we got up at night to use the bathroom, a light in the corridor came on automatically, which was great. Breakfast was outstanding, with a choice of juices, tea, and coffee. My partner enjoyed a full English every morning, whilst I had either boiled eggs and soldiers, or delicious blueberry pancakes. I sent compliments to the chef, the lovely Claire, and said they were better than pancakes I'd eaten in Las Vegas, at a place famous for its pancakes. Ged was the perfect host, always asking if everything was alright. When we had finished eating, and he came to clear up, we always had good conversations with him, sometimes lasting a while. Time is precious, so we really appreciated it. He was genuinely interested in his guests, and offered advice about the area, as well as talking about other topics. There were also lots of informative leaflets in the hallway. I cannot think of anything negative about Beaches, and would recommend it to anyone. It is very well placed, two minutes from the beach, with the lovely Boathouse cafe, and other amenities 5 minutes away. If you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the lowest level. Ged and Claire will go the extra mile to help in any situation. We hope to be back in the not too distant future. Many thanks to the lovely hosts, " danke schön". They deserve to do well. Again, please ignore any bad reviews, they are very unjust.

  Lovely and cosy...  - We booked our room as a last minute thing to avoid Storm Darragh. We live on our boat and wanted a safe haven for the night. When we... read more arrived, we were warmly greeted by Ged who called us by our first names throughout out stay. Ged was extremely helpful and showed us to our room (No.8), which was beautifully decorated and cosy.

Our booking was on a room only basis, however, we did both order the full English breakfast, coffee and orange juice, which were lovely. The coffee was perculated, not instant and everything was freshly cooked. Ged served us breakfast and he is the perfect host.

As we are locals and not on holiday, our stay was brief before returning to Brixham the following day, but we would definitely come back if we needed a bed for the night.

Beaches is a beautiful old hose with lots of character and it was actually lovely to spend the night here rather than some cold, soul-less hotel.

  Great for beach lovers  - A great location for beach lovers. We arrived by train , and found it a little out of the way on foot. The guest house was clean , we booked... read more the superior room with a four post bed. The room was smaller than expected, with tea making facilities and a en-suite bathroom. Considering the hot weather a little fan would have not gone a miss. A a small tv on the wall positioned so you can’t realy see it unless you sat on the edge of the bed. Booked with booking.com which was clearly stated breakfast was included , but on arrival we were told breakfast was a added extra. So we are waiting for a answer off booking.com.

  Paignton is our favourite place to visit and we have stayed in multiple b&bs but have only stayed in them once until we found beaches b&b.

We just... read more love it here we have stayed here multiple times now over the years and it's now the only b&b we stay at.. we were also lucky (they book up quick) and managed to book a stay over the Easter weekend and on Easter Sunday we were all given a creme egg at breakfast it's just the little things that make it even more of a special place for us to stay, Ged and Claire make you feel so welcome and apart of the family, we always stay in room 1 and it's always been very clean and well presented with very comfy beds, Claire leaves delicious cakes in your room, breakfast is always the perfect amount, well presented and delicious.

On another positive note my youngest jack has adhd and certain things trigger him smells, home comforts and foods etc and his words are 'ive never felt uncomfortable there not once and looks forward to seeing and staying with them again'..

so thank you Ged and Claire we will be back to see you very soon.

Location was perfect for us away from the fair & busy pubs. A 20 minute walk to the harbour where there are some fantastic restaurants, we ate at Harbour Lights & T J restaurant, we would recommend both.

Breakfast was high quality produce, locally sourced with plenty of choice. My choice of omelette was the best tasting omelette, bursting with flavour and fillings. The beaches is located right by the beach and local amenities. Torquay is easily reachable by taxi or regular buses.
A stay at The Beaches comes highly recommended where you will be looked after, served top quality food and always with a friendly warm welcome in super clean surroundings.

  We have just got back from a week at beaches b and b. We were very happy with our room comfortable and clean. We had a great breakfast every day... read more with lots of choices. I worked my way down the menu!. Location is perfect so close to the beach and easy walk into Paignton. Ged is so welcoming and friendly and makes you feel at home Claire was friendly too but normally busy in the kitchen.

A nicely run place.
Parking is a little tricky - not Clare and Ged fault. There is little on street parking and what there is, is taken mostly by local residents.
The B&B is close enough to walk into town, only 5-10 mins away and the sea front is only 2mins away.

  A lovely little find. Parking Outside and a carpark very near by. Ged greeted us with a smile ( even though we were early !) and took us to our... read more room (8). The room was clean and fresh with a lovely tea tray /biscuits ect. The storage was great. The bathroom was HUGE... with plenty of toilet roll lol . I'm not a fan of pre -ordering breakfast the night before, but it was no big deal. The food was cooked fresh and was delicious. ( The eggs had the brightest yokes ever) . We DID ask for extra butter and extra coffee with our breakfast and it was given to us instantly. We also asked for more milk for our room the previous night , again no problem. Sadly we didn't meet Claire, but hopefully will when we next return.
I highly recommend the Beaches, a perfect little b&b to explore Paignton and Surrounding areas. ( we stayed due to going to a concert in Torquay) More

We pre booked an evening meal for our first night and it was delicious - all home made and freshly cooked produce, absolute quality/value for money. There was a good choice for breakfasts, amazing food which set us up for the day. Would highly recommend staying here - we will certainly return.

Following morning breakfast was presented a nice full English and Blueberry pancake with syrup both enjoyed with no complaints. All in all a very nice stay with lovely hosts .
Parking was available on a first come first serve basis .

  Just back from a monday-friday stay at Beaches B&B. The B&B is excellent, we stayed in a 4 poster kingsize premium room which is very clean, bright and ... read more spacious. Be warned: the bed is extremely comfortable...... The breakfasts were excellent, with quite a wide selection on offer and certainly kept us going all day. Ged and Claire were the perfect hosts, and so friendly. Ged was very attentive at breakfast without being intrusive. A lovely little surprise was when we came back one afternoon to find a couple of homemade chocolate chip muffins. We will definitely be returning.
